We are all aware of the revisions to the CDC and Michigan DPH Covid protocol. Accordingly SDAS will continue to provide activities which adhere to those guidelines. For instance participants in birding field trips who have been vaccinated do not need to wear a mask. Participants who are not vaccinated are encouraged to wear a mask for their safety and the safety of fellow birders. Those feeling ill should stay home. SDAS will not be having an in-person club gathering until September at which time we should be maskless for indoor activities.

"There is an unreasonable joy to be had from the observation of small birds going about their bright, oblivious business."

Who We Are
The Sable Dunes Audubon Society was chartered by the Michigan Audubon Society in 1982. Our objective is to promote public recognition of the need to protect and preserve bird species in Oceana and Mason Counties.
Due to COVID restrictions, meetings are currently canceled.
The Sable Dunes Audubon Society used to meet each month from April through November. Meetings were held at locations in Mason and Oceana Counties. Members and non-members alike are welcome to join us for programs via Zoom. Click on more for meeting times and locations.
Sable Dunes Audubon Society is fortunate to have a number of birders who enjoy sharing their knowledge during trips out in the field. Check back regularly as field trips are added to the calendar.
Face masks and social distancing are required for field trips.
